The Efreeti (イフリート Ifurīto?) is a monster from Brigandine: The Legend of Forsena and Brigandine: Grand Edition.
Overview[]
Efreetis are small human-like creatures with white skin and long pointy ears. They use a magical flying carpet as their primary means of moving around. They attack their enemies by using a magical pot with the ability to release a burning ray of fire, damaging all units in front of them. Like Jinns, they do very poorly in melee combat since they cannot initiate a counterattack. They also become useless in battle when they run out of MP.

Etymology[]
An efreeti (plural efreet and also ifrit, afrit, or afreet) is a powerful demon associated with the underworld and identified with the spirits of the dead in Islamic folklore. The monster's in-game appearance may actually have been inspired by Dungeons & Dragons, in which efreet are genies of elemental fire.
